The appearance of man-made cotton cloth is very similar to that of cotton cloth. The main methods of distinguishing man-made cotton cloth are as follows:

1. Smoothness

Man-made cotton cloth, flat surface, few yarn defects, no impurities, fine and smooth; and cotton cloth surface can see cotton hulls, impurities, etc., finish is not as good as man-made cotton cloth.

2. Yarn evenness

Artificial cotton yarn evenness, yarn defects are few; and pure cotton yarn evenness is not as uniform as artificial cotton, especially in medium-thick cloth.

3. Strength

The strength of man-made cotton cloth is lower than that of cotton cloth, especially in wet environment. When drawing from the edge of the cloth, the fastness of man-made cotton is worse. When drawing, man-made cotton is easier to break than cotton. Therefore, the texture of man-made cotton is mostly thicker and lighter than pure cotton linen yarn.
