Advantages:
1. Comfort: humidity balance. Pure cotton fiber can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, and its moisture content is 8-10%. It feels soft and not stiff when it touches the skin. If the humidity increases and the surrounding temperature is higher, the water content in the fibers will evaporate and dissipate, which will keep the fabric in a state of water balance and make people feel comfortable.
2. Warmth retention: Cotton fibers have very low thermal and electrical conductivity, porous fibers and high elasticity. The gap between fibers can store a large amount of air (air is also a bad conductor of heat and electricity), which has high warmth retention.
3. Environmental protection: Cotton fibers are natural fibers. Pure cotton fabrics have no stimulation to contact with skin and are beneficial and harmless to human body.
Disadvantages:
1. Wrinkle-prone: It is not easy to finish after wrinkling.
2. Shrinkage: the negative effect of strong moisture absorption of cotton fibers, pure cotton fabric shrinkage rate is 2% to 5%.
3. Deformation: Negative effect of porous cotton fibers and large gaps, to the overall fabric is lighter and thinner, clothing is easy to deform. If it's thicker, it's bulky.
